• Fred Lansford (Lance) Murphy, III

Fred Lansford (Lance) Murphy, III, age 26 years died June 23, 2008.  Funeral services were held June 25, 2008 at 8:00PM with Bro. Danny Staley officiating.  Graveside services were held June 26, 2008 at 10:00AM at the Taylor Ridge Cemetery.
He was born October 8, 1981 the son of Patricia Ann Sumner Murphy and Fred Lansford Murphy, Jr.  He was an electrician and a member of the Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
His grandparents Mark Sumner, Lance Murphy, and Clara Souleyrette precede him in death.
Survivors include his parents Patricia Ann Sumner Murphy of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, and Fred Lansford Murphy, Jr. of Stearns, Kentucky, a grandmother Jean Sumner of Marshes Siding, Kentucky, a sister Stacy Hoskins and husband David of Lexington, Kentucky, and a twin sister Heather Martin and husband Justin of Henderson, Kentucky.  Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

• Steve Clarence Loudermilk

Steve Clarence Loudermilk, Sr., age 80 years, died June 27, 2008 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky.  Funeral services were held at 2PM June 30, 2008 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. David Troxell officiating.  Burial was in the Barren Fork Cemetery.
He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on October 4, 1927 the son of the late Jesse and Ada Cox Loudermilk.  He was a machinist, of the Baptist faith, and a member of Cincinnati-LaFayette Masonic Lodge #0483.
His parents, one son Ottis Wayne Loudermilk, two brothers Ottis Loudermilk, and Hobert Loudermilk, and two sisters Delores Woods and Lola Loudermilk precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years Mable Collins Loudermilk, sons Steven C. Loudermilk, Jr., Michael R. Loudermilk, Michael J. Loudermilk all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles Loudermilk of Cold Springs, Kentucky, Richard Franklin Jones of Oneida, Tennessee, and Wayne Lawrence Schroeder of Wisconsin, daughters Faye Greer of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Sue Carol Wilson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Margaret Tucker and Wyvonna Richards both of Whitley City, Kentucky, and two sisters Zola Brooks of Cincinnati, Ohio and Winnie Ann Clark of Lexington, Kentucky.  17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren also survive.

• Tommy Ray Stephens

Mr. Tommy Ray Stephens, age 40, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008, at his home on Meadows Grove Road in Pine Knot.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie King officiating. He was laid to rest in the Pine Knot Cemetery.
Tommy spent his time working on cars, which was one of his favorite hobbies.  He loved spending time with his children, family and friends.
He is survived by his father Charles Stephens of Pine Knot, his mother Edna P. Stephens of Revelo, Kentucky, his grandmother Lois Douglas of Revelo, a brother Aaron Stephens of Pine Knot, his companion of 18 years Tonya Anderson of Pine Knot, and their two daughters Emily and Brooklyn Stephens, also a daughter Brandi Stephens of Pine Knot, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn his passing.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
