Traci Lyn Hamlin Adkins

Traci Lyn Hamlin Adkins, age 28, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 21, 2009, in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. Cyrus Byrd and Rev. William Kilby officiating.  Special music was by Birdie Meadors, Leslie Byrd and Keith King.  Interment was at the Bledsoe Cemetery in Stickleysville, Virginia on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m.
Born May 17, 1981, in Oneida, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Randall Wayne Hamlin and Lawanna Baird Hamlin Chesnut.  Preceding her in death is her father, Randall “Randy” Hamlin and grandparents James and Nina Baird.
Surviving family include her precious son, Cade Adkins, her loving mother Lawanna (and Fred) Chesnut of Dothan, Alabama, her brothers Jamie Todd Hamlin of Pine Knot and Michael Hamlin of Whitley County, and step-brother Patrick Chesnut of Dothan, Alabama, grandparents Bob and Joan Hamlin of Pine Knot and great grandmothers Pauline Hamlin and Darlene Ball of Pine Knot and step great grandmother Jo Nell Greer of Prattville, Alabama.
Traci worked at Applebee’s Restaurant in Lexington.  She was enrolled in Asbury College working on her Elementary Education Degree. She was a member of the Marshes Siding Church of God. She loved being with family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her son Cade; they were just alike. Traci was loved by all who knew her and she made friends wherever she went. She will remain in our hearts until we hear her laugh again.

Debbie Valtina Canada

Debbie Valtina Canada, age 44 years of Williamsburg, Kentucky formerly of McCreary County, Kentucky died August 21, 2009 at Jellico Community Hospital in Jellico, Tennessee.  Funeral services were held Tuesday August 25, 2009 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby and Pastor Billy Joe Lowe officiating.  Burial was in the King Meadors Cemetery.
She was born in Scott County, Tennessee on February 14, 1965 the daughter of Fayrene Kidd King and the late TJ King.  She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Her father and a sister Phyllis Boling precede her in death.
Survivors include her mother Fayrene King of Pine Knot, Kentucky, daughters Lynzie Elaine Morgan and husband Dustin of Sunbright, Tennessee, Haylee Brook Phillips and husband Nathan of Oneida, Tennessee, and Monica Brice Pyles and husband Adam of Lancing, Tennessee, brothers Martin King, Dwight King, Wayne King, Richard King, Jason King, and a sister Abbie Stephens all of Pine Knot, Kentucky.  Eight grandchildren also survive.

Geraldine M. Cannada

Ms. Geraldine M. Cannada, age 75 of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of McCreary County passed away on Tuesday August 18, 2009 in Cincinnati.
Funeral services were held Friday at 11am in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Brent Ford officiating. Burial was in the Hickman Cemetery.
She was born in Ohio on April 3, 1934. She was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Pelcha. Also preceding her in death was her husband Ernest who died in 1996, and 5 brothers, Junior, Johnny, William, Richard, and Lester. 5 sisters, Bertha, Tillie, Elizabeth, Mona and Wanda. There are several other deceased siblings that died in infancy.
Survivors include 3 sons, Ernest Dewayne Cannada, Terry D. Cannada and John Cannada. And 2 daughters, Brenda Morgan and Geraldine Elizabeth Cannada. There are 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was a homemaker and attended and interdenominational church.

Gladys L. Corder

Gladys L. Corder, age 80 years, died on August 22, 2009 at the St. Mary’s of Scott Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Monday August 24, 2009 at 2PM in the McCreary County Funeral Home with the Bro. John Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Nevelsville Cemetery.
She was born in Bell Farm, Kentucky on October 17, 1928 the daughter of the late Thomas Howard and Mary Delilah Jones Worley. She was a bookkeeper of Lumber King and a member of the Dixie Bend United Baptist Church.
Her parents, a son Ronald Corder, three infant brothers, and a grandchild Leslie Ann Corder precede her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Rev. Harvey E. Corder of Somerset, Kentucky two sons; Kenny Corder of Arthur, Tennessee and Glenn Corder of Somerset, Kentucky and a daughter, Sharon Stephens of Gainesville, Georgia. She has two brothers and one sister; Doyle Worley of Huntsville, Tennessee; Otis Worley of Smithtown, Kentucky and Evelyn Jones of Monticello, Kentucky. She has six grandchildren, three stepchildren grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and five step great grandchildren.

Nicholas Tyler Eldridge

Nicholas Tyler Eldridge, age 11 months, of Stearns, Kentucky died August 21, 2009 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  Graveside services were held Saturday August 22, 2009 at 1PM in the Angel Cemetery with Rev. Terry West officiating.
He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on September 14, 2008 the son of Dustin and Tasha Patton Eldridge.
Survivors include his parents Dustin and Tasha Eldridge of Stearns, Kentucky, brother Lucas Eldridge of Stearns, Kentucky, grandparents Dillard and Karan Eldridge and Stanley Jr. and Carolyn Patton all of Stearns, Kentucky.  Uncles and aunt Justin and Jessica Eldridge and Kevin Patton all of Stearns, Kentucky also survive.
